Daily efforts may go unnoticed, but not at LMS! Just like the cannonball in the Lafayette County Courthouse, we remember the moments that #MakeAnImpact .

If you recognize one of the students pictured, please reach out to their parents/guardians and congratulate them on this recognition!

This week’s staff recognition post goes to Coach Friedrich, our 5-6 Social Studies Teacher, Powerlifting and Track/Field Coach! He strives to #MakeAnImpact by increasing students opportunities to gain strength in body and mind! Coach Friedrich is always willing to give a student a good laugh and is often walking around the cafeteria to give students more positive interaction. He came to us in a moment of need and lives the phrase #AnswerTheCall. Coach Friedrich has worked hard to make positive relationships with students and athletes this year and provides all students a safe environment to learn and compete.

As the 2025-26 School year continues, please reach out to Mr. Schmidt (tschmidt@lexr5.org) and let us know the great things that our staff is doing! We want to recognize the staff members for their hard work and dedication. Leave some positive comments for Coach Friedrich below as well!

She strives to #MakeAnImpact by accommodating individual student needs as well as filling in within any need of the building! Coach Archibeque is always willing to help any student or adult with a smile. She is an integral part of the success of LMS by helping students be successful in the classroom. Coach Archibeque has worked hard to make positive relationships with students and athletes this year and provides all students a safe environment to learn and compete.

LMS started our Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention week off with a Love theme! This year, the national theme for TDVAM is “Love is Respect”. Lunch time included students getting Orange string bracelets to rock while we learn about how to spot and prevent teen dating violence.

Tomorrow’s theme is “Love is Teamwork”, wear your favorite team gear or your Lexington spirit gear. Ms. Hunsaker will set up a zine station to raise awareness, bracelets will still be available, as well as information flyers on digital/online dating warning signs, and the Relationship Spectrum.
