This week’s staff recognition post goes to Miss Janes, our LMS Character Education teacher! She has been making an impact on our Lexington youth that has extended well beyond the walls of the middle school. A Lexington patron reported to Mr. Schmidt: a student offered to help her water some plants in town and was quoted saying: “Miss Janes always tells us that we should look for opportunities to better our community.” What a ripple effect! Miss Janes isn’t just changing the lives of the students, but her effects are being felt throughout Lexington! She has been doing great things for years here at LMS and we are so blessed to have a program like hers in the building and community!

As the 2025-26 School year continues, please reach out to Mr. Schmidt (tschmidt@lexr5.org) and let us know the great things that our staff is doing! We want to recognize the staff members for their hard work and dedication. Leave some positive comments for Miss Janes below as well!
