Good morning,
Mother Nature is really something today. To keep everyone safe, the district will follow an early release schedule.

LHS and LMS will dismiss at 11:00 a.m.

LBS and ECC will dismiss at 11:15 a.m.

Our OPAA kitchen staff has graciously adjusted their schedule so all students can eat lunch before dismissal.

Each Week, LMS recognizes a student from each grade level that #AnswerTheCall like a Minuteman! See the images of the students who were recognized by their teachers during lunch for being great contributors to our Lexington Middle School Community!

Daily efforts may go unnoticed, but not at LMS! Just like the cannonball in the Lafayette County Courthouse, we remember the moments that #MakeAnImpact .

If you recognize one of the students pictured, please reach out to their parents/guardians and congratulate them on this recognition!

This week’s staff recognition post goes to Mrs. Worthington, our FACS teacher at LMS! She strives to #MakeAnImpact on our kids day in all walks of our school day! Mrs. Worthington is always holding students to high standards and giving students life experiences that are applicable to their teenage lives. She has also partnered with students to focus on their attendance through individual attention and incentives. Mrs. Worthington’s approach to having high expectations for students shows that if we believe the kids can meet a certain standard, no matter the height, they can meet those marks!

As the 2025-26 School year continues, please reach out to Mr. Schmidt (tschmidt@lexr5.org) and let us know the great things that our staff is doing! We want to recognize the staff members for their hard work and dedication. Leave some positive comments for Mrs. Worthington below as well!
