Thank you to the Lexington Elks Chapter for providing new books for each preschooler. The teachers were given the opportunity to choose books their students would enjoy. The students really appreciate their books, and several are keeping them in their backpacks so they can enjoy them at home and school. This generous donation helps with early literacy skills, and allowed students to have the experience of having the "same book" as their friends! With much appreciation! Mrs. Werle, Mrs. Nordsieck, Mrs. Goetz, and Miss Simnitt

Each week, LMS recognizes a student from each grade level that #AnswerTheCall like a Minuteman! See the images of the students who were recognized by their teachers during lunch for being great contributors to our Lexington Middle School Community!

Daily efforts may go unnoticed, but not at LMS! Just like the cannonball in the Lafayette County Courthouse, we remember the moments that #MakeAnImpact .

If you recognize one of the students pictured, please reach out to their parents/guardians and congratulate them on this recognition!

This week’s staff recognition post goes to Miss Plonski, one of our Special Education Teachers! She strives to #MakeAnImpact by giving her all to her students! Miss Plonski is always willing to help the building out in any capacity, even volunteering to house a kid who requested to calm down with her during her plan time this week. She has made valiant efforts to make strong relationships with her students so that when they are at their worst, they have someone they can trust. Miss Plonski is dedicated to her craft, giving students exactly what they need to be successful.

As the 2025-26 School year continues, please reach out to Mr. Schmidt (tschmidt@lexr5.org) and let us know the great things that our staff is doing! We want to recognize the staff members for their hard work and dedication. Leave some positive comments for Miss Plonski below as well!
